Ability Beyond the Horizon provides research-based guidance and support
to countries around the world, in the interest of advancing education and
opportunity for people with disabilities. Each person, no matter his or her
ability, deserves the chance to become a productive member of society. We at
Ability Beyond the Horizon believe that education is the key to
effecting a positive change in how societies view those with disabilities. We
aim for a shift in the opinion of the culture toward people with disabilities
from one of pity, and sympathy, to a belief of opportunity and potential.

Ability Beyond the Horizon is in the beginning stages of development in Vietnam, to provide early intervention services to children with disabilities. We are beginning in the city of Huế, Vietnam, and plan to work also in the rural communties, as these areas are often overlooked in the development of social projects. We are currently developing curriculum to teach local Vietnamese people how to provide these valuable services to the children of their community.
Ability Beyond the Horizon is working in Bangalore, India to provide education and support to children with Visual Impairments, from infancy through adolesence. We are working to develop curriculum to support local teachers in Bangalore, so that they can provide the education necessary for children with Visual Impairments to be successful in the classroom, and eventually in a career of their choice.
Our teachers provide instruction in skills for independent living, including cooking, cleaning, finances, travel skills, and self advocacy. So that as the children age, they will be completely independent and able to function completely within their community.
